In the cold November of La Macaza, Quebec, 2025, the band Potions brought equipment borrowed from friends and family to a small cottage on Lac Chaud to record 40 albums live on cassette tape. Beebo, Make a Wish is a compilation of the 30 tapes they made during their stay.

A Toronto based free-folk quartet, Potions writes and performs ambling songs that mix improvised side-quests with involved and concerned lyrical stylings. Coming up in the jazz, experimental, and songwriting scenes, Aidan McConnell, Josh Sparks, Steven Noronha, and Ben Rositsan craft songs inspired by and indebted to avant-songwriting. Potions is named in honour of their youtube channel Potions95, a home for their shared love of archival documentation and obscure internet intimacy.
